Tim Audette, former guitarist of Canadian grindcore outfit Fuck the Facts, has died. The band shared news of Audette's passing yesterday (August 8), writing that he died "after fighting a long and courageous battle with [multiple sclerosis]."
"Even though he had a much more traditional metal background, Tim always embraced every wild idea that was brought to the table, and had a big part in the all the music that we created and released during his period in the band," Fuck the Facts wrote. "We are lucky to have known him and shared so many adventures together."
Audette joined Fuck the Facts in February 2001, and would perform and record with the band until departing in June 2003.
His playing is heard on 2001 album Mullet Fever and 2003 outing Backstabber Etiquette, in addition to split releases with Âmes Sanglantes and French grindcore group Sylvester Staline.
Last year, Fuck the Facts released their eleventh studio album, Pleine Noirceur.
