Duchess Says and Partner Share Spotify Playlist Ahead of Western Canada Dates

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 28, 2017

Duchess Says and Partner are teaming up for a few tour dates in Western Canada this winter, and they're upping anticipation for the joint dates with a curated Spotify playlist.

The bands will share bills in Saskatchewan and Alberta throughout the month of January, including a pair of shows at Regina's Winterruption and Calgary's Big Winter Classic.

See the full list of upcoming shows below, and check out Partner's other upcoming tour dates here.

Before hitting the road together, though, the two bands have offered up a joint Spotify playlist that brings together some of the artists and songs that help get them through the chilly Canadian winter.

Amongst Duchess Says' picks are Kraftwerk, Pixies and Sonic Youth, while Partner's selection include Motörhead, 2 Chainz, Britney Spears and Melissa Etheridge.

Duchess Says opted for tracks that remind them of the winter season, while Partner took things in a slightly more astrological direction.

"January is Capricorn season. The season of the goat. The dawning of a new year. A time of frigid winds," Partner tell Exclaim! "This collection of songs reflects many aspects of Capricorn season. It features songs by Capricorns (Patti Smith, Dave Grohl). It features songs with aspirational, Capricorn-esque messages ('I'm the Only One,' 'Touch the Sky,' etc). It features a January song and a goat song and a Capricorn song. Let this playlist keep you company as you enjoy the new year and the new beginning. This one goes out to all the Capricorns."
