"Negative test…positive outcome"

Three days ago, Drake postponed that night's closing event of his October World Weekend festival in Toronto — set to feature Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and a Young Money reunion — after testing positive for COVID, saying the show was "being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible."

He wasn't kidding — today, he announced that the show will take place two days from now, on Saturday, August 6 at its originally intended venue of Budweiser Stage.

On Instagram, he wrote, "Negative test…positive outcome…this was the only date available until the fall and because the family is so solid everybody is flying back in to make it happen for you all…SEE YOU SATURDAY…young moulaaa."

This will be the third and final event of October World Weekend, following the All Canadian North Stars showcase of the country's hip-hop and R&B trailblazers from the '90s and '00s, and Chris Brown and Lil Baby's One of Them Ones tour stop.

October World Weekend is standing in for OVO Fest, Drake's usual summertime hip-hop and R&B celebration in his Toronto hometown, so he can bring OVO Fest worldwide next year for its 10th instalment.
