Drake's October World Weekend festival was set to wrap up tonight in Toronto with a Young Money reunion show at Budweiser Stage. That show has now been postponed, as Drake has tested positive for COVID.
In an Instagram story, the rapper-singer wrote that he is "truly devastated" at having to delay the show due to his positive diagnosis. He wrote that the show is "being rescheduled to the SOONEST" possible date.
He added, "I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the COVID)." See his full message embedded below. The show was scheduled to feature Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
Drake didn't reveal how he's feeling or if his current symptoms are severe. He has already had COVID at least once, as he revealed in 2021 that the illness had affected how his fade hairstyle was growing in.
