After paying his respects to Sidhu Moose Wala by wearing a tribute T-shirt to his All Canadian North Stars show, Drake has just announced he will be selling the same shirt online to commemorate the slain Brampton-based rapper.
The move was announced in an Instagram post by Drake Related, an account linked to Drake's website. Proceeds from the shirts will go directly to Wala's family, who will then donate the funds to a cause of their choosing.
The post reads, "Sidhu Moose Wala (1993-2022) We celebrate your life and influence in India, Canada, everywhere. Rest in peace to our friend and legend. Remembering this legend with a tee available now on www.drakerelated.com. We are working with Sidhu's family to dedicate proceeds from this drop in his honour."
Wala was shot dead in the Jawaharke village of Mansa, Punjab on May 29, just one day after the Punjab government scaled down his security cover. The shooting was allegedly in relation to a rivalry between Wala's manager and a Canadian crime group.
