Dilly Dally are calling it quits. The beloved Toronto four-piece announced today that they're parting ways after more than a decade together as a band: "Thank you to anyone who's ever come to see us perform, the artists who've inspired us, and everyone in the extended DD family," the band wrote on Instagram. "It's time for us to move forward and continue our journeys separately."

Alongside the breakup announcement, the band have also shared two new songs, the last they'll make together as a group — "Colour of Joy" and "Morning Light" are, as expected, both great, and they were "recorded close to home in Toronto" and "came about naturally over the last year or so."

The new songs aren't their only parting gift, as they'll also be playing a farewell show on May 27 at Lee's Palace, with guests Bad Waitress and Breeze. Tickets for the final show go on sale this Friday, March 3, at 10 a.m. local time.

UPDATE (3/7, 12:17 p.m. ET): Due to popular demand, Dilly Dally have added a second farewell show at Lee's on May 28 with special guests TBA. The first night is sold out, but tickets for the second are available here.

Dilly Dally formed in 2009, though they didn't release their fantastic debut album Sore until 2015. Their second and final album Heaven came out in 2018. Pour one out for a great band, and wish them luck on whatever they do next!
