As previously reported, reunited New York rap duo Cannibal Ox are ready to cut listeners into ribbons, with their Blade of the Ronin landing March 3 via IGC Records/iHipHop Distribution. Just ahead of that release date, though, Vast Aire and Vordul Mega have unsheathed all of their long-awaited sophomore set in an album stream, which you can check out now.
Early previews from the set included "Gotham (Ox City)" and the "Iron Rose" single with DOOM. The latter isn't the only collaboration on the collection, though, with the sci-fi clanks and twisted brass samples of "The Power Cozmiq" featuring extra vocal work from Kenyattah Black, and Wu-Tang member U-God stopping by to spit above on the equally soulful backdrop of "Blade: The Art of Ox."
Tripped-out synth minimalism drives "Water," while a melange of thick snare drops and old school keyboard score have Cannibal Ox bringing out their best bars on "Harlem Knights."
You'll find all those and more in the stream down below. Blade of the Ronin is Cannibal Ox's first full-length since 2001's The Cold Vein.
