Burial has returned with details of a new EP. The elusive producer will share new effort Antidawn digitally via Hyperdub on January 6, ahead of CD and vinyl LP editions landing through the label on January 28.
Following this year's split with Blackdown, Antidawn is said to chart "an interzone between dislocated, patchwork songwriting and eerie, open-world, game space ambience."
"Antidawn seems to tell a story of a wintertime city, and something beckoning you to follow it into the night," press materials continue, and from the looks of the included photo below, that's exactly where the producer born William Bevan can be found these days.
2021 also saw Burial deliver double single "Chemz" and "Dolphinz." In 2020, the producer teamed with Thom Yorke and Four Tet for collaborative tracks "Her Revolution" and "His Rope."
In 2019, Burial collected Tunes 2011-2019 for a new compilation, and released music on a Sega Genesis cartridge.
