Bruce Springsteen recently revealed that a Western Stars film was in the works, and now we know when it will be premiering — at the Toronto International Film Festival..
The film will be given the gala treatment to mark the world premiere at TIFF, which runs from September 5 to 15.
Springsteen unveiled plans for the film earlier this month during a radio interview with Dave Marsh and Jim Rotolo on E Street Radio.
"We made a film of us playing the Western Stars album start to finish, plus some other things," he said. "I knew we weren't going to tour, so I figured this was the best way to do it."
The film was directed by Springsteen and Thom Zimny, who previously collaborated on Springsteen on Broadway and Bruce Springsteen: Hunter of Invisible Game.
It has yet to be revealed when Western Stars will receive wide release or become available to stream.
Last year's Springsteen on Broadway was released as a Netflix exclusive.
