Bruce Peninsula Offshoot EONS Unveils New Album, Premieres "White Feather Roses"

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Oct 17, 2016

Branching off from his work with Bruce Peninsula, co-founder Matt Cully is once again focusing on his EONS solo project for a new album. Called Long Walks, the record is due out November 4 via Bruce Peninsula's own Bruce Trail Records.

Long Walks will arrive both digitally and as a 44-page risograph-printed book (which comes with a download code). The book comes with hand-drawn maps, photography, lyrics, writing and collage, and was designed with the help of various artists from around Ontario.

As for the album itself, a press release states that it "takes the folk path as its starting point, then heads out in search of new sonic routes to describe distinctly modern struggles. It's music on the move: snaking down back alleys and onto busy expressways, delving deep into the sounds of the city to reveal new truths buried in the asphalt."

For a taste of that, you can now preview the new track "White Feather Roses" below.

EONS also has a series of live dates coming up, with the live version of the project also featuring Bruce Peninsula's Misha Bower as "Cully's psychic musical twin." You can also see those below.

Tour dates:

10/16 Hamilton, ON - HAVN w/ Cosmos Quartet
10/30 Guelph, ON - The Golden Bus w/ Will Kidman & Misha Bower
11/04 Toronto, ON - The Burdock w/ The Acorn
