Braids have just detailed their fifth studio album. Arriving on April 28, Euphoric Recall will be released through Secret City Records.
Billed as their "love record," the Montreal trio are said to explore the healing power of amour, along with its impulses and imperfections. Expanding on their experimental pop sound, Euphoric Recall will reflect on influences of both jazz and the club-oriented sound of Braids side project Blue Hawaii.
"How you cultivate your heart space is extremely important to the outcome of what you are pursuing," bandleader Raphaelle Standell-Preston said of the new record. "I think that when we are operating from a place of safety and feeling loved and have intentions of loving, we can access really interesting places."
Alongside announcing Euphoric Recall, the band have shared new single "Evolution" along with a music video for the track. It's the second single to come from the album following the August release of "Retriever." Euphoric Recall is Braids' first studio album since 2020's Shadow Offering.
