Sudbury, ON's Up Here Festival — known for its mural exhibition and showcases of local and international musical performances — is returning to Northern Ontario from August 18 to 20.
Taking place across multiple venues in Sudbury, U.S. Girls, DEBBY FRIDAY, Braids, NOBRO, Bibi Club, Devours, Ric Wilson, Bonnie Trash and myst milano. will lead the charge this summer, with Boogey the Beat, Gustaf, Elizabete Balčus, Thunder Queens, Strange Attractor, Super Plage, Geneviève et Matthieu and Olivia Shortt and more also joining the lineup.
Visual artists Jean Paul Langlois, JUURI, Katie Green, Yung Yemi and Maxine Lemieux will paint this year's murals, while Pure Plastic, Art by Astronoht, DISANG, Downtown Oxygen, Mackenzie Roy and Featureless Designs will represent the Power Up Project — a partnership with Greater Sudbury Hydro — which will see artists adorning utility boxes around the city.
The festival has released a limited number of all-access, entry-guaranteed passes for its ninth edition now. You can get yours here. Individual tickets go on sale on June 26.
