Boy Golden has detailed his sophomore album. The Winnipeg singer-songwriter will share For Eden on July 19 via Six Shooter Records.
Following last year's For Jimmy EP, the 10-track For Eden is Boy Golden's first full-length since 2021's Church of Better Daze.
The album was recorded entirely to cassette in a cabin in the woods, making for a mood a release describes as "more personal" and "self-reflective."
Opener "Here to Stay" arrives alongside today's announcement, and you can hear it below. Featuring assists on harmonies and percussion from Roman Clarke and FONTINE, the single's inviting guitar and banjo spur us to join the artist's quest to keep on keepin' on, finding joy along the way.
Ahead of For Eden's release, Boy Golden will hit the road on tour through Eastern Canada and the Northeastern US in May, followed by a June date at the North Country Fair in Driftpile, AB, July stops at Durham, ON's Four Winds Music Festival and Dawson City Music Festival in the Yukon, and an August engagement at Paris Drinks Fest in Brant, ON.
