Remember last week when Kele Okereke said Bloc Party was working on some "exciting" stuff in the studio? It seems they're working at lightning speed, as they've just released new track "High Life."
Sonically reminiscent of the mid-2010s dance-punk turnover to indie pop, "High Life" is the band's first single since last year's Alpha Games Deluxe Edition. It comes as Bloc Party begin their massive tour opening for Paramore.
Okereke told NME quite recently that Bloc Party were back in action, saying they were writing new material as recently as last week: "We have made a lot of music over the years and we're going to make more. We are writing at the moment and it feels exciting," he said.
