Adult Swim has been gifting us a number of new tunes this year via its extra charitable Singles Program, but the latest drop is a little freaky. Fuck Buttons member Benjamin John Power has delivered a new song from his Blanck Mass project, a blippy piece of synth terror titled "D7-D5."
The tune starts off as an industrial churn of noise, as if a cement mixer was dropped onto an struggling record player. "D7-D5" does enter more conventional territory, though its hard-edged beats, choppy vocal samples and menacing, Skinny Puppy-grade melodies are still quite jarring.
You'll find the freaky free single below. Artists still to drop singles through the program include Against Me! and Run the Jewels.
