Vancouver's Bear Mountain released their debut album XO independently last year, but the record was re-released yesterday (May 21) thanks to Last Gang Records. To celebrate the release, Exclaim! is sharing one of the tracks.
"Faded" is a cut of the upbeat, danceable synth pop that permeates XO. According to a press release, founding member Ian Bevis likens the sound to a "hopeful utopian future."
Consisting of longtime friends Bevis and Kyle Statham, Bear Mountain will be taking the new material across the country for a couple of gigs with Bloc Party, as well as a handful of festival appearances. You can get the tour details over here .
