Canadian rock supergroup Anyway Gang have announced their sophomore album. The band consisting of Sam Roberts, Sloan's Chris Murphy, Hollerado's Menno Versteeg and Tokyo Police Club's Dave Monks will release Still Anyways on May 6 via Royal Mountain Records.
The album was produced with returning collaborators Gus Van Go and Nixon Boyd. A press release explains that it builds on the three-chord formula of 2019's Anyway Gang like this: "This time they even added a fourth chord to some of the songs, and worked in a real studio."
Anyway Gang have shared the new track "Reckless Reckless" along with a lyric video. The band said in a statement, "This song is a collection of those small leftover memories that transport you back to another world where the grass is greener and the glasses are rose-tinted. I think it was easy for the four of us to all relate too since so much of being in a band is an extension of your teenage dreams. There is a lot of common experience there and it was fun picking references and lyrics together that told a story we all loved. Our respective audiences has been on a journey with us and we wanted to relive some of those sweet nostalgic moments with them. And rip a few guitar solos while we're at it!"
"Reckless Reckless" follows recent singles "Alternate View" and "Out of Nowhere." The band will tour Canada in May.
