Adrianne Lenker is releasing her new solo album Bright Future at the end of the week, and today we get a final preview single in “Free Treasure,” which Lenker calls one of her “all-timer favourite songs.”
“Free Treasure” is a lovely acoustic duet with Mat Davidson, who plays all over the album. “You show me / Understanding, patience and pleasure / Time and attention, love without measure,” the pair sing on the chorus.
“'Free Treasure' is one of my all-timer favourite songs,” Lenker wrote on Twitter. “I was playing it on a stoop for my good friend james krivchenia, singing the last chorus when he chimed the words 'free treasure.' Thanks james for those words."
Last week, Lenker shared a new EP in support of Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
