Canadian rock lifers 54•40 have announced a live album recorded at Toronto's El Mocambo club. The very logically titled Live at El Mocambo will be out August 18.
The performance was recorded on September 18, 2020, and it will be celebrated with a release show at — you guessed it — the El Mo on August 18. Completing the synergy, the vinyl is being released through El Mocambo Entertainment.
The tracklist for the album hasn't been announced. A press release promises that the vinyl will feature "eight of the band's smash hits," although the setlist for the show featured 12 songs (plus an interpolation of the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go").
Mattie Leon will open the show. Fans who pre-order a limited edition vinyl package will get Live at El Mocambo on coloured wax, plus a CD with a bonus track, a tote bag, and a meet and greet with the band.
