No matter which direction Will Smith takes his career, he will always be best known for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It makes complete sense then that Smith is now helping develop a spinoff series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Smith is producing the upcoming show via his newly launched Westbrook company, which he is overseeing alongside his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Unfortunately, though, there are few other details, with Smith so far remaining very tight-lipped on what the show might entail.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air ran for six seasons from 1990 to 1996. It was originally co-created by Quincy Jones and saw Smith playing a fictionalized version of himself. It also featured one hell of a theme song.

The news of the series comes as Smith promotes his new film Gemini Man. Read Exclaim!'s newly published review of the Ang Lee movie.
