The ceremonial first pitch at a baseball game can either be very wholesome or downright terrible, and it's safe to say that Simu Liu has set the bar after his action-packed turn on the mound this past weekend.
On Sunday night (September 5), Liu was charged with throwing the first pitch ahead of a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants, and he showed off some of his Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings superpowers in the process.
The latest Marvel star delivered a strike as he wound up and threw to home plate with ease, ahead of working in a backflip for style points before leaving the mound. On Twitter, he confirmed that the adrenaline was flowing, as his throw was "like 500% faster in my head."

We can only wonder what moves Liu would have unleashed given the opportunity to throw the first pitch ahead of a game from his hometown Toronto Blue Jays. As he shared with Exclaim! in a recent interview, he is still a Toronto kid at heart.
