Actor Sam Lloyd, known for playing Ted Buckland on Scrubs, was diagnosed with inoperable cancer last month, and his TV colleagues are pitching in their support through a GoFundMe page set up in his honour.

After experiencing headaches last month, Lloyd went to the doctor and got a CT Scan, which revealed a mass on his brain. The tumour was deemed inoperable, and tests showed that cancer had metastasized from his lungs and had already spread to his liver, spine and jaw.

The GoFundMe campaign is aiming to raise money for Lloyd, his wife Vanessa and their one-month-old son, as the couple will be unable to work for the duration of Lloyd's treatment. The money raised will contribute to medical, child care and other expenses.

A number of high-profile people from Lloyd's Scrubs days have already donated, and are encouraging others to do so, as well.
