'Riverdale' Pays Final Tribute to Luke Perry

The series has revealed a new Season 4 promo as it says goodbye to Fred Andrews

Following Luke Perry's passing in March of this year, the actor has officially been written out of the CW/Netflix series Riverdale, which he was working on at his time of death.

Yesterday (October 6), Warner Bros. posted a brand new Riverdale Season 4 promo, in which we see Archie Andrews (played by KJ Apa) and his mother (Molly Ringwald) finally laying Fred Andrews (Perry) to rest. 

Season 4 of Riverdale will premiere on CW on October 9.

Perry was hospitalized in late February this year after suffering a massive stroke. He remained in hospital until his death on March 4. The actor was 52 years old. 

In addition to his roles in Riverdale and the original 90210, Perry appeared in OzJohn from CincinnatiBody of ProofJeremiah and others. Most recently, he filmed a spot in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
