Perennially grumpy old man and leader of the People's Party of Canada, Maxime Bernier, has criticized Canada's official Twitter page for sending luck to the first-ever Canadian contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race.
As previously reported, Brooke Lynn Hytes will compete in the upcoming 11th season of the hit show, and @Canada tweeted out its congratulations a few days ago.
Bernier, however, took offence at the tweet — and the entire concept of drag itself.
He equated the act of men dressing up as women for artistic and entertainment purposes to "cultural appropriation, racism and toxic masculinity," and claimed that the government's definition of diversity was just "leftist logic."
Thankfully, Twitter jumped at the chance to spam Bernier with hilarious Drag Race GIFs. See some of the best responses below — including an eye-rolling emoji from Hytes herself.

❌ Wearing clothes from another ethnic group
❌ White with dreadlocks
❌ Blackface
❌ Men building pipelines
= cultural appropriation, racism, toxic masculinity
✅ Men wearing female dress and makeup
= diversity 🌈 https://t.co/xINlGwZnQe
