First film posters reveal an entirely new look for the actor

Ridley Scott's maligned House of Gucci is moving steadily along its way to a theatrical release this fall, and the hype for the film has been unreal due to some mind-blowing first images.

Earlier this year, co-stars (and co-smokeshows) Lady Gaga and Adam Driver completely broke the internet in character as the film's "Signore e Signora Gucci," and now, Jared Leto is doing the same with his wild transformation as Paolo Gucci.

Seen in the images below, House of Gucci's makeup department has practically reinvented Leto's face with prosthetics — and if we didn't know any better, we might have had a hard time identifying the actor.

The film, which is due to arrive on November 24, came under scrutiny by the real-life Gucci family, who previously accused Ridley of "stealing" their identity for profit and referred to Leto's casting as "horrible."

"We are truly disappointed. I speak on behalf of the family," Maurizio Gucci's second cousin, Patrizia Gucci, said at the time.

Alongside Leto, House of Gucci is also set to star Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons.

Driver and Gaga will star as Maurizio Gucci, the former head of Gucci fashion, and Patrizia Reggiani, the fashion mogul's ex-wife, respectively. The film will follow the fashion couple's life and Reggiani's murder plot against her ex-husband.
