David Fincher is at last readying his next feature-length film, and today we can get our first glimpse of Mank — the director's first movie since 2014's Gone Girl.

Netflix has shared a trailer for the upcoming Fincher project, which tells the behind-the-scenes story of Citizen Kane. Mank focuses on the film's screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz and his battle with director Orson Welles over the screenplay for the classic 1941 film.

Gary Oldman stars as Mankiewicz, while Tom Burke plays Orson Welles. Amanda Seyfried also plays Marion Davies, the Broadway actress who was a mistress to newspaper tycoon and Citizen Kane focus William Randolph Hearst.

Mank is planning to have a theatrical debut in November, but it will be available on Netflix on December 4.

Following Gone Girl, Fincher went to work on television with the Netflix series Mindhunter, as well as Love, Death & Robots.
