Despite some trouble with ISIS, Astron-6 eventually aired their new Divorced Dad web series last year, and now the Canadian collective are doubling down on the show with a proper Blu-ray release.
Divorced Dad will come to Blu-ray on June 25 via Kino Lorber.
The physical package will hold all five original episodes of Divorced Dad, plus two bonus episodes. In addition, the Blu-ray will have extended cuts, commentaries, a Merry Christmas from Santa Claus and "a wealth of special features."
On top of all that, the release will feature Chowboys: An American Folktale — Astron-6's Sundance short.
For the unfamiliar, Divorced Dad is described like this:
Inspired by a dream, a newly-single man (Matthew Kennedy) eases the pain of his mid-life crisis by launching a public-access talk show. But no matter how innocuous the topic, each episode devolves into chaos, veering from slapstick comedy into supernatural horror, driving the Divorced Dad ever closer to his emotional breaking point. Produced by the Canadian filmmaking collective Astron-6 (The Editor), Divorced Dad is a nostalgic nightmare that toys with the technology of no-budget, 80s video chat shows in a way that relishes, rather than mocks, the outdated conventions of the medium.

As previously reported, Divorced Dad made headlines last year when it was pulled by YouTube quickly after the show's initial launch for violating its guidelines. As Astron-6's Conor Sweeney told Exclaim! last year, YouTube pulled the entire series over a joke used in the "My Sis" episode that involved terrorist organization ISIS.
