Gordon Ramsay was famously a bit of wimp on Hot Ones, as the spicy wings sent his British palate into full-blown meltdown. Apparently the show left a big impression on him, however, since it made him love wings and even start a new show of his own.
Speaking with Sandwich Magazine, which is indeed a real magazine, Ramsay revealed that he came up with the concept for his new YouTube show Idiot Sandwich after his expletive-filled appearance on Hot Ones in 2019.
"I did the Hot Ones show a few years ago and I fell in love with wings," he said. "Every time we travel across the world the options are always chicken wings or a club sandwich, and I asked Justin, who does all our socials, 'How do we create our version of Hot Ones?' And we came up with Idiot Sandwich."
