You Know HGTV's Property Brothers? They're Now Making a Country Album

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 24, 2016

That's right. Those dreamy HGTV dudes your mom probably has a crush on are working on a new project — and it doesn't involve home renovations. Canada's Drew and Jonathan Scott, the stars of Property Brothers, are looking to overhaul their public image by reinventing themselves as country music's newest stars.

Following up the success of their HGTV/W Network special series Property Brothers at Home on the Ranch, the guys are trying to keep the sexy farmer thing going with a song titled "Hold On." The folksy tune was co-written by Victoria Shaw and Chad Carlson, and it's already shooting up the charts, debuting at No. 38 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs.

Naturally, the video for the song was shot in a softly lit, professionally decorated barn in Tennessee and features super literal interpretations of the lyrics thanks to a couple of narrative subplots.

The brothers have reportedly already written another track called "Let the Night Shine In" with Shaw and Carlson, and are hoping to release a full album in the future.

If you're looking to redo your living room in the style of hillybilly chic, the autumnal colours, rugged wood beams and denim accents in the video below should serve as plenty of inspiration.
