Pacific Northwest black metallers Wolves in the Throne Room are set to unleash their sixth studio album this fall, and before Thrice Woven arrives, the group have shared a clip for album opener "Born From the Serpent's Eye."
While the album version of the track is 10 minutes long, the band trim the song down for the clip itself, roaring through it in the glow of some nearby bonfires. The video was directed by Peter Beste and Nico Poalillo.
"This is our first video," the band told NPR. "We lit a bonfire and blasted through the first part of 'Born From The Serpent's Eye.' You'll have to listen to the full track to hear Anna Von Hausswolff's glory. This is the first time we'd played the song with Kody and it fucking slayed. Peter and Nico captured the magic. May the good fires blaze!"
Thrice Woven arrives September 22 through the band's own Artemisia Records. Watch the video for "Born From the Serpent's Eye" in the player below.
