Toto recently revealed plans to record a cover of Weezer's 2001 track "Hash Pipe," in response to Rivers Cuomo and co.'s version of "Africa," but they gave fans a sneak peek at their rendition onstage in Vancouver last night (July 30).
"We figured since we were smoking hash since before they were born, that's the one we should do," Toto frontman Steve Lukather told the crowd. "I'm not condoning this sort of behaviour — but we were young once."
The band then launched into their take on "Hash Pipe." Watch fan-shot footage of the performance below.
Toto will release an official single version of "Hash Pipe" on August 10.
