Fever Ray's much-anticipated third full-length Radical Romantics is arriving in March, and so far we've heard two songs from it — slippery opener "What They Call Us" and kaleidoscopic banger "Carbon Dioxide." Today, we get another taste of Karin Dreijer's upcoming missive with the calypso-tinged "Kandy," which was co-created alongside Olof Dreijer.
The video for "Kandy," directed by Martin Falck, features the Dreijer siblings performing in a strange, velvet-draped club while decked in shimmery suits, somewhat recalling the duo's iconic video for 2003 single "Pass This On."
In a statement about "Kandy," Olof Dreijer said, "I tried to tune in as much as possible into Fever Ray vibes and tried many different styles, or clothes as I usually say when I talk about different music production suggestions. But in the end we took out the same synthesizer, the SH101, used for the Knife track, 'The Captain,' and it just worked!"
Radical Romantics arrives March 10, and is the follow-up to Fever Ray's 2017 sophomore record Plunge. Check out the "Kandy" video below.
