Her husband also produced and played percussion on "Stepdaughter"

He "doesn't give a flying fuck" if you want a Radiohead reunion or about "condemn[ing] the Israeli genocide of Gaza" while he's performing, but Thom Yorke does care about supporting his wife's artistic endeavours. He married actor Dajana Roncione in 2020, and he's now offered an assist in helping her dip her toes into music: the music video for a song she wrote called "Stepdaughter" has premiered exclusively via Italian newspaper la Repubblica.

Yorke produced the song and played percussion on the track, which features lyrics written by the Palermo-born actor in the Sicilian dialect. "Stepdaughter" was originally intended to be sung by Roncione's character — famous '20s Italian stage actor Vera Vergani — in a scene in Michele Placido's film Eterno Visionario, but according to video director Alex Infascelli, "it immediately took on its own identity."

He told the publication [translated from Italian], "At that point, Dajana asked me to make a video, aware of the fact that she wouldn't be there physically, because she was travelling abroad, but knowing full well how much I like this type of 'challenge.'" Using choreography by Fabrizio Turetta, they worked remotely, giving the whole thing a bit of an eerie Blair Witch Project vibe — which happens to fit well with the music, on which Yorke's percussion crescendos from an ominous industrial hum.

"Stepdaughter" is currently only available to check out on la Repubblica's website.
