Just over three years removed from delivering The Day Is My Enemy, long-running UK electronic outfit the Prodigy have now shared news of a follow-up effort.
Titled No Tourists, the group's seventh studio effort will arrive November 2 through BMG/Take Me to the Hospital. The album's artwork, which features an ominous-looking double-decker bus, can be seen above.
A pre-order page for the record reveals that No Tourists was written, produced and mixed by Prodigy founder Liam Howlett in his London studio. As Howlett is quoted, the LP is "very much a band album" and will feature vocalists Maxim and Keef Flint.
Howlett added that the new songs "are built to play live. That's the one thing that brings everything together. I couldn't write this music unless it has that outlet on stage. That helps write the music. This is what I do it for: the live thing. And until we feel like we can't do it, or the buzz goes, we won't stop."
A first taste of No Tourists arrives alongside the announcement with "Need Some1." Featuring a vocal sample from Loleatta Holloway, Howlett wrote the song wanting to create "something that had downtempo swagger, but still felt dangerous."
"Need Some1" comes accompanied by a video shot in Manila by Paco Raterta, and you can watch it in the player below.
"Paco's style stood out and punched me in the face: just so raw and original-looking, I knew he was the man for us," Howlett said of the clip. "The finished video has such violent edge and style and looks like nothing else we have seen — to us it's only worth doing a video if you can make something original and exciting, which this is."
No Tourists is available in a variety of formats and bundles here.
