The Kills are back! The garage duo of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince return today after a five-year hiatus with a coast-to-coast double single, "New York" / "LA Hex."

Brought to you via Domino, the pair of new tracks are available as a 7-inch vinyl single with artwork Mosshart painted herself. It's the duo's first new release since they covered Saul Williams and Peter Tosh in 2018, following their 2016 LP, Ash & Ice.

The Kills are also celebrating their comeback with — surprise, surprise — events in both New York and Los Angeles, the former hosting a DJ set at Steven Sebring's Lower East Side studio on July 27 and the latter bringing them to Sunset Boulevard's legendary Viper Room on August 3.

The double offering from the band likewise comes along with two new music videos directed by Andrew Theodore Balasia. The bombastic "New York" finds Mossheart and Hince bloodied ringside, while the woozy churn of "LA Hex" casts them among other dishevelled-cool City of Angels locals, looking straight out of Spring Breakers.
