Fans of heartland punk rockers the Gaslight Anthem rejoiced last week when the band announced they were "returning to full time status" after going on hiatus back in 2015. Today, they delivered on that promise by mapping out an extensive tour of the US and Europe.
Tigers Jaw and Jeff Rosenstock will offer support on select dates during the North American trek, which will kick off in Portland, OR, on September 13 and run through till early October.
Unfortunately for the band's Canadian fans, no dates have been announced north of the US border so far. In a tweet, the group instructed fans to "stay tuned for more dates to be announced," which begs the question: how long will fans up north have to wait? TGA's last Canadian show was at the end of a two-night run at Toronto's REBEL in 2018.
Last week, the band announced that they were working on material for their first new album since 2014's Get Hurt. Details on the follow-up record are forthcoming. During the band's hiatus, frontman Brian Fallon established a solo career. His fourth LP Night Divine arrived last year.
