Following a 2018 reunion to celebrate a decade of The '59 Sound, the Gaslight Anthem have announced their return to "full time status as a band."
Frontman Brian Fallon revealed the return to action via the band's social media channels today, putting an end to the hiatus the band announced in 2015.
"I hate to disappoint you, but I need to inform you that there will not be a 10th anniversary Handwritten tour, or a documentary," he wrote on Twitter. "However, I am very pleased to announce to you all that the Gaslight Anthem is returning to full time status as a band."
Along with a shot of a scene from a photoshoot, Fallon shared, "We'll be announcing a lot of tour dates in the next couple of days. We're also beginning to write new songs for what will be our sixth LP. We're looking forward to the future and seeing you all again. We want to thank you for staying with us."
The Gaslight Anthem — made up of vocalist/guitarist Fallon, guitarist Alex Rosamilia, bassist Alex Levine and drummer Benny Horowitz — last released Get Hurt in 2014.
During the band's hiatus, Fallon established a solo career, most recently sharing fourth LP Night Divine last year.
