The Darkness have announced Permission to Land… Again, a deluxe reissue of their 2003 debut album Permission to Land, out October 6 via Warner Music.
The reissue celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original album. The 4CD/DVD collection consists of the original album, previously unreleased demos, rare B-sides and live tracks from various London shows in the early 2000s.
"So much has happened since the original release of Permission to Land that I can hardly believe it's only been 20 years," bandleader Justin Hawkins said in a statement. "Such turmoil, upheaval, the emotional rollercoaster ride of being nobody, becoming somebody, going back to being nobody and loving every second of it!
He continued, "The past two decades have only been this eventful because of the impact that our debut album had. I'm grateful for every second of this experience and delighted to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the best debut album by the Darkness of all time."
