Toronto artists the Beaches, Ralph, Tush, Prince Innocence and Dae the Poet will perform at a benefit concert in support of abortion providers and activists across North America.

The "Body Party" benefit performance will take place August 21 at the Great Hall. Tickets are on sale now, with proceeds set to be split between Women's College Hospital's Bay Centre for Birth Control in Toronto and the National Network of Abortion Funds in the United States.

"Recent anti-choice wins in the southern United States have been a catalyst for increased rage, pain, nightmares and hopelessness. But it's not just America," organizers Jaime Eisen, Madeleine Taurins and Raffa Weyman said in a statement. "Only recently did abortion become accessible in Canada, and only then for certain groups of people. It's imperative to remember that ongoing fights for reproductive rights - and the tendency to relegate conversations surrounding abortion to the shadows - are far from over."

Body Party will also feature a raffle with prizes from the Drake Hotel, VSP, Feist, Ink and Water Tattoo, Province Apothecary, Kinda Sleepwear and more. All raffle proceeds will be directed to the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada.
