Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: TOBi, Ralph, Haviah Mighty, Mother Mother

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jun 30, 2023

Are your legs sticking to a chair right now? If not, they probably recently were — 'tis the sweatiest season of all, and there's no better way to embrace the humidity in the air than feeling the week's best new Canadian music run through your untameable hair like a cool breeze.

Highlights (ha, get it?) include TOBi linking up with Topaz Jones (auteur of 2021's excellent Don't Go Tellin' Your Mama) and Haviah Mighty keeping it in the family, tapping sister Omega Mighty to add even more horsepower to "Zoom Zoom." Mother Mother also know that real eyes realize real lies on "Normalize."

This week, we have album releases from Slow Leaves and the Jins, as well as new EPs from Ralph and Altered by Mom.

Elsewhere, Toronto's Beams "Take Back Ten" while Zeus return after nearly that many years, and Haley Blais counts her "Baby Teeth."

Count 'em down all the way to No. 99 with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
