You thought SZA's SOS Deluxe: Lana rollout was over? Think again! Despite the arrival of the expanded edition of the artist's 2022 watershed album on December 20 after several delays, it apparently still stands subject to more updates.
A week ago on December 23, SZA wrote on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter that she wanted to switch out some of the mixes "after listening w a clear mind" and indicated that these changes — and further additions to — SOS Deluxe: Lana would be made on Christmas.
Well, that didn't end up happening. The singer-songwriter addressed this in another Twitter post today: "Just got word all updated Mixes and new songs will be added Jan 6th when the label comes back from holiday. Sorry they can't do it any sooner," SZA wrote early this morning, thanking fans for their patience.
The original iteration of the expanded edition of the album saw 15 new tracks added to the front end of SOS, making for a total of 38 songs already. Billy Corgan will definitely be keeping an ear out on January 6.
