Chance the Rapper and his band the Social Experiment are gearing up to release a new collaborative LP called Surf. The teams have already teased the release with some musical tastes, and now they're back with another offering from the LP.
"Sunday Candy" opens with some scrappy, plucky piano and clapping beats as Chance delivers his melodic rap-singing. As it builds, the feel-good song adds horns, bass, lead guitar and eventually climax with a joyous, gospel-tinged chorus.
The Social Experiment is said to be its own stand-alone project, rather than Chance the Rapper's backing band. Alongside Chance, the band features Donnie Trumpet (born Nico Segal), Peter Cottontale and Nate Fox.
