Between Slim Twig's new album Sof' Sike, his contributions to the collaborative Statement, and his David Bowie (well, Ron Davies) cover, it's been a busy couple of months for the eclectic Toronto songwriter. Now, he's keeping the steady stream of fresh goodies coming with a video for the Sof' Sike track "Altered Ego."
This eclectic video shows dancers dressed in freaky costumes playing with cardboard boxes in a large art space. Meanwhile, Slim freaks out on a white Fender Telecaster and performs in front of a projection of a huge red eye. It's an appropriately art-y clip to match the singer's unique brand of rock'n'roll.
Slim Twig will be touring with U.S. Girls this fall; in addition to a number of European dates, they have two Canadian shows scheduled: Ottawa's Fall Down Gallery on October 13, and Toronto's Double Double Land on October 22. Slim will also play at the Paper Bag Records 10th anniversary shindig tomorrow (September 28)
