Elbow followed up 2014's The Take Off and Landing of Everything with an EP titled Lost Worker Bee, and now they're back with some fresh material. The UK band are slated to drop their Little Fictions LP next month, and they've prefaced its arrival with a new clip.
The video for "Gentle Storm" features one of Britain's finest acting exports, Benedict Cumberbatch. Ditching his titular onscreen personas like Sherlock and Dr. Strange, Cumberbatch instead blends in with the constantly morphing faces of Elbow's members and their friends and families.
"It was amazing that he was up for it," frontman Guy Garvey told NME. "We got a load of our friends and family involved so they also are in it. The shoot day was incredible, video shoots can be quite grim but it was such a great atmosphere that Kevin [Godley, director] created and the finished film is something we are amazingly proud to be involved with."
