Following last year's The Take Off and Landing of Everything, British rock band Elbow have released a new song. "What Time Do You Call This?" appears in the new Simon Pegg film Man Up.
Given that the song appears in a film, it's fitting that it's a cinematic anthem filled with acoustic strums, piano tinkles and lush orchestrations. It ends with a long outro consisting of harmonized repetitions of the title.
Hear the song below.
Man Up director Ben Palmer said in a statement, "The band saw an early cut in Manchester and, thankfully, loved it. A couple of days later, Guy had already penned the lyrics and we were blown away. It was the perfect fit and a dream climax to the journey."
Man Up's soundtrack is due out on May 25 on Fiction Records. The film comes to UK cinemas on May 29.
