Scarface Seeks Kidney Donation Following COVID-19 Recovery

After a harrowing bout of coronavirus beginning in late March, Houston rapper Scarface has revealed that the negative effects of the virus on his health are ongoing, causing him to seek a kidney donation after months of dialysis treatment.

He has now taken to ask his followers to consider donating an organ. "I need a kidney y'all any volunteers? B+ blood type," he wrote in a tweet.

In late April, Scarface told fellow Geto Boy Willie D that the kidney issues meant undergoing dialysis "four days a week, three hours a day."

"COVID attacked my lungs first, and then it attacked my kidneys and knocked them out," he told FOX 26 Houston this summer. "I got full lung recovery, but my kidneys never came back."

Last night (October 7), the rapper live-tweeted the vice presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence, criticizing the current administration's position on health care.

"A pre-existing health condition clause would fuck me and a whole lot of Americans up so naaaaa I'm not gon do that to myself," he wrote.
