Sam Cash & the Romantic Dogs

"That Was the Summer" (live in-studio video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 23, 2014

Following last year's Stand Together, Fall Together, Sam Cash & the Romantic Dogs have another album for Cameron House Records on the way for next year. In anticipation of that future LP, the band have shared a video from a recent demo session.

The tune is called "That Was the Summer," and it's a rocking roots cut with an undercurrent of wistful nostalgia that comes to the fore when Cash sings the titular hook. For the video, we see the band recording the song in a slightly rough-around-the-edges studio space, as a single camera moves slowly through the recording complex.
