Wu-Tang leader, filmmaker and chess enthusiast RZA has a number of projects on the go, but he's just added another to the pile that should turn the heads of rap fans and gamers alike. He's currently working on a new album of original tracks inspired by the sounds of Atari.

The new record hears RZA taking the lead on production duties, assisted by Atari CEO Fred Chesnais and Stephen Belafonte as executive producers.

It marks RZA's second collaboration with the classic gaming company, having previously worked with them on voiceovers for the 2006 game Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure.

"I'm so excited to work on these iconic games to deliver what I believe will be one of my best albums," RZA told Billboard. "I am going to invite some of my friends to join me and it will be Game On with the first beat!"

Chesnais added, "We are thrilled to partner with RZA, one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time. RZA is a multi-talented artist and soundtrack virtuoso and we cannot wait to hear the new tracks he creates based on Atari's iconic videogame sounds and music."

More details about the project will be revealed soon.
