The winsome twosome of Megan James and Corin Roddick — a.k.a. Purity Ring — are gearing up to drop a new single next week called "graves."

In a tweet today, the Edmonton electropop duo offered a presave link and an ominous "ONE week," alongside a 20-second preview of the track, set to a video of what appears to be a sea anemone or the inside of a flower or a colonoscopy recording.

The snippet seems to be of a synth-drenched, effervescent chorus, and a sure promise the song is set for a rapturous, weightless blast-off. We'll get the full context and the song on April 20.

Following last summer's "soshy," "graves" will mark Purity Ring's second new single after the release of their 2020 album WOMB.

The pair are a couple months away from embarking on their postponed tour, the dates having initially been scheduled for last fall.
