John Dwyer's Osees took a relatively lengthy break (by their standards) after releasing last year's Intercepted Message, but now, the band is back with plans for a new one — SORCS 80 is due to arrive via Castle Face Records on August 9.
Dwyer and co. are previewing the effort with lead single "CASSIUS, BRUTUS & JUDAS," which the frontman describes as "a song about betrayal and how it's often fueled by fear, greed and cowardice."
He elaborated in a release, "Three classic betrayers contemplated through the lens of 20/20 hindsight punk song. How anybody has bandwidth for keeping people like this in your orbit I'll never know."

Osees hit the road today for their European/UK tour. They'll return to North America at the end of August for another leg of shows, however, there are no dates in Canada as of yet.
